DVEES ChAPMAN

Popularly known as the Sangria of West Africa, Chapman drink is a non alcoholic cocktail originated in a country club in Lagos, Nigeria; Ikoyi Club. It is believed that an expatriate asked his favourite bartender to create him something special, the bartender came up with the cocktail which became a hit and named it after the expat whose name was Chapman.

DVees Chapman is a refreshing citrus flavoured sparkling drink with an infusion of cucumber, a dash of blackcurrant and a hint of aromatic spices. It serves as the perfect alternative to alcoholic cocktails. It is light and refreshing with a mix of flavours similar to what you would have in a cocktail. Non-drinkers at social occasions should enjoy exceptional drinks that are creatively crafted and DVees Chapman offers them a quality drinking experience. It also serves as a great mixer for the adventurous drinker who just wants a dash of rum, whisky or whatever they prefer.

We spent countless hours trying to recreate our childhood memories of days spent by the poolside of Ikoyi Club eating flamed grilled strips of peppered beef (Suya) and drinking ice-cold refreshing Chapman. It’s been a long journey but we are finally here and excited to share them with you. We still remember the day we tried the winning Chapman recipe, it felt like we had won an Olympic gold medal.

With shouts of joy and teary eyes, we celebrated, ‘high fived’ and hugged each other. The recipe was finally here and we all approved.
